To the left, a man bent over works with a tool near a pile of stones or clumps on the ground. In the middleground there are simple wooden structures formed from crossed poles and a low horizontal beam. A wheelbarrow lies tipped on its side near the lower right, and a shallow basket and scattered tools rest nearby. The sky is filled with stippled cloud forms and the whole image is framed by a faint rectangular border.
