The oval portrait is surrounded by a circular band and a rectangular border, and the surrounding margins are filled with various finely drawn flowers and botanical elements arranged along the edges. Below the portrait there is a rectangular panel containing several lines of ornate handwritten script and a decorative flourish, and additional floral drawings occupy the lower margin. The overall style is intricate line engraving with cross-hatching shading and delicate botanical ornamentation.
