Within the decorative foliage a crowned human figure is partially visible, turned away with an arm extended and draped fabric around the lower body. Above, a hybrid creature with an animal head and a scaled, curled tail sits among the scrolls, wearing a tall ornate headdress and holding a round object and a small sheaf of stalks. Fine parallel hatching and stippling create shading across the ornamental curls and textured background, and the composition fills the page with densely interlaced baroque scrollwork.
