His facial hair includes a mustache and a small beard, and his expression appears neutral as he looks outward. One hand rests on his hip beneath the cloak while the other hand is raised to his chest, fingers extended toward the neckline. A belted waist with decorative elements and a sheathed dagger are visible beneath the fur trim. The image is a monochrome line engraving with fine crosshatching and shading, and a simple ground with tufts of grass at the bottom.
