These albums probably served as examples for draftsmen, painters, and engravers., A sepia-toned drawing showing three studies of a young child from different angles on a textured off-white background, each figure rendered with soft hatched shading and curled short hair; one study depicts the child viewed from behind with an arm raised and fingers spread, another shows the child leaning forward with hands resting and a draped cloth around the shoulders, and the third presents the child’s head bowed in a downward profile.
