The print was first published in part 1: Topographia Galliae, 1655., church (exterior), Église Sainte-Elisabeth, A wide view of a classical church façade with ornate architectural details, statues in niches, a central arched entrance, and a decorative pediment topped with a small cross, flanked by adjacent buildings with red roofs and rows of windows; a blue-tiled roof and a small dome rise behind the façade, and lamp-like finials decorate rooflines. In front of the buildings is an open paved area with small groups of people walking and standing, a person leading a horse, and low stone posts lining the front of the church. The sky above shows layered pastel clouds in shades of pink, lavender, and blue, with soft horizontal streaks of color across the upper portion of the image.
