Below the sky, a distant walled town with clustered buildings and a river or moat sits amid rolling green fields and low hills. In the foreground on the right, tall trees with dense dark green foliage and a few bare branches stand on a slope above a dirt path where several small figures on foot and on horseback travel, some wearing colored garments. On the left foreground, a figure stands near a plowed field with an animal pulling a cart, and scattered bushes and low vegetation dot the landscape.
