The seated figures hold small bowls or plates and spoons, their heads bowed or turned toward their bowls. In the background a darker area with crosshatched lines forms a textured wall, and two additional standing figures appear to the left, partially outlined against the wall. The floor and furnishings are sketched with horizontal and vertical hatch marks, and the overall image is composed of fine lines and crosshatching giving a worn, etched appearance.
