In the foreground a group of sheep and goats move along a path beside rocks and bushes, and a standing figure near the arch appears to be guiding them. To the right a tall tree with leafy branches rises beside a vertical stone structure, and in the distance faint silhouettes of more trees and landscape features are visible through the arch. The lower foreground shows textured ground and a small boat or wooden structure partially visible at the bottom edge.
