The shoreline curves gently to the right with textured grasses and linear furrows, and in the background a low horizon shows small buildings and a windmill with sails. Near the right shore a small figure stands beside a smaller animal, and faint horizontal marks suggest clouds in the sky. The image is rendered in soft sepia tones with thin, sketchlike lines and subtle shading.
