One enclosure holds a small primate perched on a bar, clutching a branch with a round object at its end, while another leans against the vertical bars. In the adjacent enclosure several primates press against the bars with open mouths and expressive faces, one reaching a hand through the bars. On the far side a lanky primate sits with its limbs draped and a long tail visible. The enclosures have wooden framing and a ledge beneath the bars, with scratched and textured surfaces and scattered hay or straw around the animals. The overall image is detailed with crosshatching and fine line work creating shadows and textures.
