Several adults and children form a line or cluster to the left, some looking toward the seated man and others turned slightly away; one young boy in the foreground walks toward the center with a hunched posture. A woman near the center holds an infant, and another woman on the far right leans against a wall covering her face. A basket and domestic items are visible among the standing figures, and a shallow bowl sits on the floor in front of the table. Light falls from an arched opening above and to the right, casting shadows across the stone walls and floor. The image is rendered with fine crosshatched lines and textured shading.
