Below the arch a small boy walks toward the foreground carrying a bowl while a cluster of flying insects surrounds a large beehive placed on a pedestal at the center. To the right a man wearing a brimmed hat holds a long tool and stands among tall grasses, while carved architectural details and wreaths decorate the vertical and horizontal borders. The drawing style is detailed with fine pen-and-ink shading and crosshatching throughout.
