Behind him a patterned drapery hangs above a scene with sailing ships on water and distant buildings along a shoreline. To his side a plumed helmet sits on a decorated pedestal bearing a crowned emblem, and the floor beneath him is rendered with engraved lines suggesting wooden planks.
