Presumably listed as catalogue number 416., canals, waters (in city), gondola, Venice, Grand Canal, A wide, pale sketch of a waterway with faint, linear etching marks forming distant buildings along both sides and a cluster of small boats on the water, the boats rendered with thin, curved strokes and tiny standing figures, the right side showing darker, vertical lines suggesting taller structures and reflections, the left side showing lighter, more open architectural outlines, and the water surface across the foreground filled with horizontal, wavering scratches indicating ripples.
