A cloaked figure leans forward near the water at the center foreground, shown from behind. In the background there are masts and sails of other vessels along a distant shoreline and a horizontal structure or bridge arching above the water. The water surface is depicted with horizontal and vertical etched lines, and the overall image has a textured, scratched appearance.
