The seated woman wears draped garments and looks slightly downward while cradling the infant who reaches outward. Around them stand several adults in varied classical attire, some with cloaks and one with a bare torso, each displaying distinct facial expressions and gestures toward the mother and child. Cherubic children with rounded forms occupy the lower foreground, one turned toward the viewer holding an object and another reaching up. Ornamental carved details appear beneath the central figures, and a background visible through the arch shows trees and a softly clouded sky. Carved or sculpted cherub heads and figures are integrated into the arch and upper framing, and the whole scene is rendered in a monochromatic tonal range.
