A central painted figure sits astride a donkey visible through an opening beneath the vines. Silhouetted profile heads appear arranged across the lower portion of the wall. In front of the wall a long table is set with plates, folded napkins, glasses, bottles, serving dishes, and floral arrangements, with scattered utensils and a loaf of bread on a platter. The overall palette is muted and sepia-toned.
