Several workers in plain clothing and hats are positioned on the wooden structures, some crouching or kneeling on beams and others standing on walkways beside stacks of lumber and scattered construction materials. Toward the far end of the pier, larger solid platforms and raised sections are visible, with additional people working there. On the right side near the horizon, moored ships and smaller boats sit alongside another pier area, and a narrow pier platform projects into the water nearby. The background features a distant tree-lined shoreline beneath a pale sky, and the water surface shows gentle ripples surrounding the wooden construction.
