Horses with harnesses stand near the carriage while figures on the cathedral steps and balconies watch. Rows of multi-story buildings with pitched roofs and rows of windows rise behind the square, and a gas lamp projects from a building on the right. The scene is rendered in a monochrome, sepia-toned illustration style.
