Flanking the fountain are rows of lamp posts and flagpoles with small banners extending toward the background. Behind the fountain, a row of multi-story buildings with varied rooflines and shopfronts lines a street, with awnings and windows visible. Sparse trees and shrubs are interspersed near the fountain and along the street, and a few indistinct figures are scattered near the fountain and along the sidewalks. The image has a high-contrast vignette with the central scene darker and the surrounding margins fading to a light plain background.
