Two photo reproductions of a publication by the Arundel Society with paintings, photograph, reproduction, page, inscription: 'annual publications, eighteenth year (1866).', after painting by anonymous, c. 1859 - in or before 1869, photographer, paper, albumen print, albumendruk, height 378 mm x width 290 mm, book, adoration of the Christ-child, Christ's birth, painting (including book-illumination, miniature-painting), the episode of the Last Supper, A vertical print featuring two framed scenes stacked one above the other on a pale background, the upper scene set within an arched architectural frame showing a group of figures gathered around a central seated woman holding an infant, attendants and kneeling visitors presenting vessels, animals including oxen and horses visible behind them, a rustic structure to one side, a landscape with riders and distant hills above, and cherubic figures in a cloud near the top of the arch; the lower scene shows a long table beneath a vaulted ceiling with a group of seated figures along one side and a central standing figure facing them, decorative drapery on the table and patterned floor beneath, the whole surrounded by blank margins with signs of age and spotting on the paper.
