One man reclines in a wicker chair wearing light clothing and a turban, his legs stretched out and a pipe in his mouth while he reads a folded paper; another man reclines on a lounge with his head wrapped and eyes closed, one arm resting behind his head and the other hand holding a book; a standing man in a buttoned shirt and a turban holds a round woven fan on a handle over the seated men. A small round table between the chairs holds glassware and a covered jar. Two dogs are present, one lying on the floor near a shoe and the other sitting alert on a wooden chair beside the reclining man. The floor is covered with mats and there is a small folding side table with a box on it.
