Photo reproduction of a painting of a table with remnants of a feast on it by Willem Linnig (II), photograph, reproduction, page, photographer: Alexandre van Antro, after painting by Willem Linnig (II), c. 1891 - in or before 1896, paper, daylight collodion silver print, height 120 mm x width 171 mm, wedding feast, wedding meal, laid table as still life (broken, damaged tableware, etc.), A long table covered with a white tablecloth stretches across the scene, cluttered with bottles, bowls, cups, plates, serving dishes, and vases holding large white flowers; napkins and cloths drape over the table edge and hang toward the floor. Behind the table a paneled wall displays framed paintings, and a dark curtain or doorway occupies one side. Chairs sit at either end of the table, one with a draped cloth, while the floor in front of the table is strewn with more fabric and a few scattered objects. The image has a muted, sepia-toned appearance and an overall painterly texture.
