Above the globe a tall cylindrical column rises with ornate embellishments and a bust perched near the top, surrounded by medallions hanging from ribbons. The ceiling overhead has a grid of beams and circular painted panels, and tall windows with vertical panes let light into the space. Shelving, smaller objects, and stacked items are arranged around the base of the display, and a curved backdrop with sculpted reliefs and a rounded arch stands behind the column. The overall atmosphere is that of a crowded exhibition area with detailed ornamental craftsmanship.
