In the foreground there are rope barriers attached to posts surrounding a collection of cylindrical components and framed coils mounted on low stands. A set of heavy belts or cables run from large mechanical drums toward the back of the scene, crossing over support structures and connecting to sizable rotors and housings positioned on raised platforms. To the right a wooden cabinet holds an array of dials and instruments, and nearby a vertical board displays various mounted devices. Several ornate lamp posts with globe-shaped lights rise above the exhibits. A man wearing a uniform and cap stands beside one of the large machines near the center, and other smaller machines and components occupy the midground and background along with hanging fixtures and signage.
