Above and beside the arch are multi-paned windows and sculpted decorative elements including relief panels with figures and cherubs, carved pilasters, and balustraded window boxes. The stone surfaces show aged textures and darkened areas, and a small inset doorway and arched window occupy the ground level beneath the relief. A portion of the street beyond the arch reveals additional buildings with shopfronts and overhanging upper stories, and a lamp and assorted street fixtures are visible along the pavement. The overall scene is monochrome with high contrast between the lighter sky and the darker stonework.
