On the path a group of men are engaged in a fencing duel, two men facing each other in lunging stances with arms extended and foils raised, while several other men stand nearby watching; some wear suits and hats, one holds a cane, and another is seated at the path edge adjusting something near his feet. The scene captures varied postures and focused expressions among the participants against the backdrop of the wooded avenue.
