Fig. 16.', photographer: John Dean, printmaker: Bradford & Co, LH, c. 1854 - in or before 1864, paper, photolithography, height 301 mm x width 230 mm, brains, A pale rectangular page contains four circular grayscale images arranged in a two-by-two grid within a thin bordered frame, each circle surrounded by a dark rim and showing varied organic textures and shading; the top left circle displays a mottled surface with lighter patches and a curved darker area along one edge, the top right circle shows a textured pattern of fine lines radiating from a central lighter region and a bright irregular spot near its rim, the bottom left circle presents a symmetrical darker center with subtle striations and a bright irregular crescent near its lower edge, and the bottom right circle features a large lighter curved area against a textured darker background with subtle linear markings.
