A tall lamp post stands near the building entrance, which is set into a small pavilion with painted scenes on its walls and a round ornamental feature above the doorway. Panels along a surrounding wall display painted images of reindeer and figures and are topped by a repeating arch motif. Groups of people in period clothing, including women in long dresses and hats and men in suits and hats, are gathered near the entrance and walking across the foreground. Rows of wooden chairs are arranged in the open area, some occupied by seated figures facing away from the building. Flags on poles rise above the wall and the building, and a stretch of grass is visible at the bottom edge of the image.
