Green laurel-like branches with leaves and small berries flank the framed portrait on both sides, their stems and foliage woven into the frame. Below the oval, a rectangular panel with decorative borders extends from the frame, and additional ornamental scroll elements and a small dangling finial finish the lower composition. The background is a light, aged paper tone with slight discoloration.
