Photo reproduction of a painting depicting an old man leaning against a tree in a forest, photograph, reproduction, page, inscription: '(do str. 64). tylko ze gdy trwogi odglos z traby wojennej dochodzil daleki, nie porwal sie korda - juz spal - spal na wieki.', photographer: Konrad Brandel, after painting by Michal Elwiro Andriolli, c. 1875 - in or before 1876, paper, albumen print, albumendruk, height 189 mm x width 148 mm, forest, wood, old man, A monochrome illustration shows a wooded scene with dense foliage and large tree trunks, leaves and vines filling much of the frame, and undergrowth covering the ground. A figure clad in dark, old-fashioned clothing kneels among the plants, head bowed and leaning against a tree trunk, with long hair and a visible hand resting on the earth. Nearby a booted leg extends behind the figure and a rounded object lies on the ground beside them. A weathered wooden grave marker protrudes from the undergrowth and is partly covered by vines. The background contains layered trees and shaded areas suggesting depth, and the entire image is rendered with fine, detailed lines and textured shading.
