A hanging lamp with a patterned globe is suspended from the frame on one side. Wooden beams, ropes, and pulley elements are visible around the structure. In the lower portion a long sheet is being unrolled or handled by a group of men who stand along its length beside tubs and buckets, with the drum and frame visible in the background and trees beyond. The scene is monochrome and appears to be photographed from a slight distance, capturing the full height of the frame and activity around it.
