The top vignette shows a group of children gathered around a central child who is holding an open box with long ribbons or cloths hanging from it and displaying its contents while another child leans forward to examine or take something; several children wear hats and shawls and look toward the box, and the scene is framed by a rough drawn border with slightly torn edges. The lower vignette depicts a seated cherubic child with small wings on the back, reaching toward a large frog that faces the child on the grass; surrounding them are plants with bell-shaped flowers, and a flying insect hovers above; both vignettes are rendered in fine line work with cross-hatching and sit within simple rectangular borders on the page.
