A covered horse-drawn carriage with large spoked wheels sits in front of the entrance, and a man stands beside it. A wooden balcony railing runs along part of the front, where a few people in period clothing are gathered. To the right, a large leafy tree partially obscures the building, and to the left older wooden structures and sloped roofs are visible against a hilly background. The foreground is an open dirt area casting soft shadows.
