Several wooden rowboats rest in shallow water and on the shore in the foreground, their hulls visible and some partially beached. On the beach area near the base of the hill there are two-wheeled rickshaws with large spoked wheels and a group of people standing nearby, some wearing hats and simple clothing. The shoreline is scattered with rocks, logs, and debris, and the water surface appears calm. The overall image has a grainy, aged photographic quality.
