On the left is a robed figure wearing a long flowing garment and a veil, holding a rectangular object with a patterned cover close to the torso; the robe has a lighter draped outer layer and a darker inner garment visible at the neckline and hem. On the right is a mostly nude figure with a cloth wrapped around the hips, arms bound at the wrists with cords that hang down, and long hair falling to the shoulders; a faint circular halo is visible above the head. Both figures stand barefoot on a darker ground, and the image displays soft shading, worn texture, and subtle cracks and spots across the surface.
