Several figures in period clothing occupy the street, including a woman standing at a doorway on the left, another woman with a walking stick crossing the street, a man in a hat carrying a box, a couple of seated children, and a man pausing near a building at the right. A small dog stands near the central figures, and two women lean from upper windows on opposite sides. The ground is rendered with linear patterns and the architectural details include chimneys, cornices, and paneled windows.
