In front of the structure there is a foreground of low vegetation and scattered leaves, with exposed roots and a narrow sweep of bare ground. To the left a tall, slender tree with sparse leaves and twisting branches rises beside the building, while more foliage appears at the roofline and edges of the scene. The thatch on the roof is depicted with dense, linear strokes and irregular patches, and the wood and fence elements display textured, crosshatched shading.
