In front of and above the niches sit the four evangelists with their accompanying creatures. Between Luke and John (below) a medallion with a pelican feeding its young. Between Matthew and Mark (above) a medallion with the Lamb of God. According to a note on the verso, the print was located on p. 83 of this album., evangelists, usually with books or scrolls (not in biblical context), the twelve apostles (as a group), A detailed engraving showing a central framed title page flanked by tall columns and niches containing robed figures; above the title a group of seated and standing robed men and women hold various objects such as staffs, a cross, and a cup, with a circular emblem depicting a lamb at the center and a dove or bird motif in the sky amid clouds and radiant sun and moon imagery; decorative architectural elements, patterned friezes, and medallions surround the scene; on the left niche a bearded figure holds two tablets, and on the right niche a robed figure stands with ornate garments and a long staff; below the title two seated robed figures face each
