Across the canal a row of tall narrow townhouses with varied gabled roofs lines the water, interspersed with leafless trees and small boats at the quayside. In the distance more buildings and a taller tower stand against a sky filled with crosshatched clouds and scattered cloud patches, while a solitary bird is visible above the water.
