Her gaze is directed to the side and her posture is slightly turned, showing the draped folds of her long skirt and the detailed linear shading of the fabric. The scene includes architectural elements of the doorway and a view beyond it of tall, narrow buildings with pointed roofs and vertical hatching suggesting rain or sky, and there is textured crosshatching throughout the image creating shadows and contours.
