Inside the arch a smaller doorway and elevated platform with carved balustrades are visible, and figures stand near and beneath the openings. Steps lead up toward the arch from a foreground area where a lone figure walks carrying a long pole. To the right of the arch a group of figures and animals, including pack animals, gather near the entrance. The drawing features dense crosshatching in the arch interior, decorative panels flanking the arch, and fine, sketchy lines indicating floor patterns and distant architectural details.
