Part of an album with 80 pages of drawings and a print of veneered and lacquered furniture, as well as seating furniture., Paris (possibly), c. 1825 - c. 1839, draftsman (artist), paint (coating), materials by function, paper, ink, watercolor (paint), pencil, pen, brush, pen in grey with brush in colours, numbers written in pencil, height 240 mm, width 310 mm, chair (wood and other phytogenic material), Two wooden chair frames with ornate carved backs are shown on a light background, each rendered in warm reddish-brown tones with turned legs and decorative finials; the left chair back features an intricate scrollwork panel with symmetrical curving motifs and slender vertical supports, while the right chair back has an open central panel bordered by flowing carved foliage and a rounded crest, both chairs displaying rectangular seat frames without cushions and similar turned front legs with bulbous and tapered elements.
