Part of an album with 80 pages of drawings and a print of veneered and lacquered furniture, as well as seating., Paris (possibly), c. 1825 - c. 1839, draftsman (artist), paint (coating), materials by function, paper, ink, watercolor (paint), pencil, pen, brush, pen in gray with brush in colors, numbers written in pencil, height 240 mm, width 310 mm, kneeling-chair, furniture for special use (wood and other phytogenic material), Two wooden chair backs and partial frames are depicted side by side on a pale background; the left chair back is rendered in warm reddish tones with an oval central panel featuring elaborate carved scrollwork and floral motifs, a rectangular top rail, and curved supports leading down to a turned front leg and a curved stretcher. The right chair back is shown in dark tones with gothic-inspired arches and a central vertical element resembling a stylized cross, fluted vertical supports, and matching curved stretchers and turned legs. The sheet shows faint pencil marks and light smudges around the drawings.
