Part of an album with 80 pages of drawings and a print of veneered and lacquered furniture, as well as seating., inscription: '400 Tricoteuse Carrée acajou pied à X, 1220 Tricoteuse ovale pied en 8.', Paris (possibly), c. 1825 - c. 1839, draftsman (artist), paint (coating), materials by function, paper, ink, watercolor (paint), pencil, pen, brush, gray pen with colored brush, numbers written in pencil, cut out and pasted onto the album page, height 240 mm, width 310 mm, (other forms of) needlework, e.g. crocheting, knitting, embroidering, table (wood and other phytogenic material), Two wooden side tables are depicted against a pale background, both rendered in warm reddish-brown tones with visible wood grain. The table on the left has a rectangular recessed top with a shallow rim and a decorative apron beneath, supported by curved legs that form an X-shape and connect to a turned stretcher near the base. The table on the right has a circular recessed top with a raised rim and a rounded skirt, supported by elegant S-shaped legs that connect to straight stretchers and a small curved foot on each leg. Both pieces show subtle shading and highlights suggesting carved contours and a slightly worn surface.
