A plank extends from the bow and is secured with broad straps, and a curved rail with rounded vertical supports encloses a small platform beside the figure. The ship's hull displays horizontal planking and rectangular openings with dark interiors, and a decorative band with circular motifs runs along the upper edge above a carved frieze. The lower edge of the image shows engraved waves at the waterline.
