The upper section shows a lattice-like screen with repeating star patterns beneath a projecting cornice supported by a row of carved brackets. Flanking walls of plain plaster and brick rise on either side, one with small arched openings. Through the archway a passage and additional arches are visible, and two figures stand and sit near the entrance. In the foreground dense foliage and a low stone wall occupy the lower portion of the image.
