The construction of this section of the line required an enormous amount of effort., Over a length of ten hours' walk one finds fifteen tunnels, some of which are more than 1000 m long, as well as eighteen viaducts, some more than 100 m long. The viaduct in the image is 151 m long and 24 m high. Due to the many curves, the line is almost three times as long as the distance between the two endpoints.
