Dense trees with bare and leafy branches rise behind and above the ruin, their trunks and tangled limbs forming a dark canopy. A stone wall and terraced grassy areas lead down toward the water, with short fence posts and a wooden gate visible on the grassy path. The surface of the water appears calm and reflective near the stone edge. The image is bordered by a plain light-colored mat.
